Role Overview:
We are seeking a Principal Consultant with strong technical expertise in financial services platforms, data management, and modern cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake, SQL, Python). You will lead end-to-end data and cloud transformation initiatives, including defining target operating models (TOM), future-state architecture, and overseeing implementation across data platforms and investment systems. The ideal candidate has grown from a technical background (engineering, development, or architecture) into consulting, customer success, or relationship management, bringing both credibility with technical teams and influence with executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements from opportunity shaping through delivery, ensuring alignment of Cutter’s capabilities with client business objectives.
- Drive proposal and statement of work creation, ensuring clear articulation of deliverables, scope, and business value.
- Define and communicate future-state architecture and data strategies, bridging business objectives with scalable technical solutions.
- Experience designing and implementing modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Lake), including data pipelines, governance, and integration patterns.
- Partner with practice leads and delivery teams to ensure successful execution and high client satisfaction.
- Lead complex, multi-workstream transformation programs, coordinating internal teams, external vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Cultivate and expand long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor at both executive and operational levels.
- Represent Cutter in industry forums, thought leadership events, and client workshops.
- Contribute to firm-wide initiatives including mentoring, recruitment, and community engagement.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Deep expertise in asset management data ecosystems, including portfolio, performance, and investment data across front, middle, and back office systems (AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
- Hands-on skills in SQL, Python, or related scripting/automation for data workflows.
- Ability to bridge technical and business audiences, translating complex capabilities into compelling client propositions.
- Proven success building client relationships and supporting revenue growth.
- Executive presence, business writing skills, and comfort engaging with senior stakeholders.

Compensation: The anticipated base compensation range for this role is $195-000-$260,000, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, market conditions, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined based on individual background and alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
